UKHLSI and Essential Parent are delighted to be hosting Empowering Care in London Through Digital Communities: Supporting Women and Children in the NHS, ahead of a parliamentary roundtable later in the year.
This webinar will bring together NHS, local authority and system colleagues to explore how digital communities can support London health services across maternity care, women’s health, children’s services, family hubs and neighbourhood health.
The session will share practical learning from regional implementations, including the Cheshire and Merseyside Women’s Health and Maternity App and the Essential Parent GM Family Hub App. Discussion will focus on how these approaches can improve access to trusted information, support prevention, reduce health inequalities and ease pressure on frontline services.
Confirmed speakers include:
- Dr Yana Richens OBE, Former Director of Midiwfery, Liverpool Women’s Hospital, Whittington Hospital, Deputy Head of Maternity, NHSE
- James Benson, CEO Central London Community Health NHS Advanced Foundation Trust
- Joanne Bekis, Chief Executive, UKHLSI
- Diana Hill and Dr Rebecca Chicot, Co Founders of Essential Parent
Invited speakers:
- Sam Parry, North West Neonatal Operational Delivery Network Coordinator
- Stacey Dunbar, Strategic Lead for Early Years and School Readiness, Rochdale
The session will also include a demonstration of Essential Parent’s digital platform, with an opportunity for questions and discussion on how learning from regional implementations could support digitally enabled services across London boroughs and wider systems.
